Get Involved

Many churches and businesses in Fairfield have sponsored a work day to help build a Habitat home. Many women and youth have also been involved in building homes. In the future we may sponsor a "Women Build," a special program sponsored by HFH. Youth need to be 16 to work on a site due to the use of power tools.

We are always looking for experienced carpenters to help us. Houses are built from engineered components, notably structural insulated panels (SIPs), so this is an excellent opportunity for carpenters who are more familiar with traditional stick-frame wall construction to learn about the newer SIPs technology.

Right now we need:

  • help with public relations
  • help with family support and education

Please tell us about yourself!'
