For most of us, this was our first time working with Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). SIPs are basically pre-fabricated walls, made to order and shipped to the work site as a complete kit. This means much less waste of materials on the work site, and also much tighter insulation for the house. Some of the larger panels are a little hard to handle -- good thing we had so many volunteers!
